Special thanks:
Sandy would like to thank all of her fans who have contributed so thoughtfully to the Red Cross for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami relief fund. It means so much to her that people are so generous during such a difficult time for the Japanese people.

There are still thousands of people left homeless, left with nothing but human spirit, that need support from people like you to survive.
Thank you very much for supporting my cause!!!
Love
Sandy Grieser

An afternoon with Sandy Grieser
This Saturday, March 19, 2011, I had the pleasure to enjoy an afternoon in Sandy Grieser’s home.
Together with her husband Bob, the conversation was very exciting. Sandy is very worried about the Japanese people. This tsunami was unbelievably sad. Her feelings and her heart are with the Japanese people. If you want to help Japan (click here for Red Cross official webpage). Also, during the afternoon, after some pictures of new Ikebana arrangements to be posted fresh on Sandy's website, I captured Sandy posing with Bob in their beautiful backyard.
The conversation started to warm when Sandy and Bob mentioned the moon would be closer than usual to the earth today. (See more click here) She remembered that the tide would be higher, and also pointed out that the land also rises along with the water!
Sandy is thrilled with all of the emails she receives from her fans on a weekly basis and appreciates the beautiful comments! She is glad her art is bringing people together.
If you want to be on Sandy’s contact list, please write to her or if you are in Europe, you can register on Mundo Anuncio of your country.
Sandy says hello to all of her fans and wants to thank you very much for the 1.6 million hits on her site!

Old News
On January 26, 2011, the cameras captured Sandy Grieser modelling for a charity fashion show event for N.E. Focal Point, where the mission is to provide supportive services to individuals 60 years old and older, to improve their independence, and to encourage their involvement with the community.
| On February 5, 2011, Sandy invited me to view her Sogetsu Ikebana exhibition pieces and those of her friends at the beautiful Morikami Museum. The exhibit was just as amazing as the beautiful Japanese gardens found on the museum grounds. Since its opening in 1977, The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens has been a center for Japanese arts and culture in South Florida, with rotating exhibitions in its galleries, tea ceremonies performed monthly in its Seishin-an tea house, an educational outreach program with local schools and organizations, and Japanese traditional festivals celebrated for the public several times a year.
